Q: When and why did you start training for fighting?
ANSWER:
I’ve been fighting my whole life. I love it. I grew up fighting, that was the environment I was raised in. So naturally when the chips fell how they may and life started lifing I found myself fighting.
Q: What does it mean for you to fight for the UFC?
ANSWER:
It means everything. All roads have led to this moment, this fight. I will show the UFC why they made the right decision signing me. I will put on a great performance en route to finishing Kai Kamaka on Saturday.
Q: Who is your favorite fighter and why?
ANSWER:
Josh Van is my favorite fighter because he’s a brother to me and always there training together and motivating each other. He’s a really selfless person and I do enjoy his fighting style as well. Amazing poise, shot selection, distance management and timing.
Q: Do you have any heroes outside of fighting?
ANSWER:
Muhammad Ali
Q: What are your current ranks in martial arts?
ANSWER:
Purple Belt in BJJ
Q: Specific accomplishments in pro competition?
ANSWER:
11-1 Pro MMA and 12-1 as of Saturday after I win.
Q: What fight do you consider to be the key fight in your career and why?
ANSWER:
This win over Kai because it will show my skill level and put the entire division on notice after I beat a game opponent.
Q: Is there a cause that you want to use your platform for?
ANSWER:
There are many but one I hold closest is protecting endangered species around the globe.
Q: Beyond a championship or money, what motivates you?
ANSWER:
There is only being the best in the planet. A defeater of men. Being the best is what sparks the fire that burns in me. Impossible for me to look beyond a championship.
Q: Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn?
ANSWER:
Went to college but no degree. I went to the college of international ass whooping. I major in international cage fighting. Seriously though I’ve traveled the world and been sponsored by international teams since 20 years old so that’s my education. I was educated by the world and how I navigated my experiences in it.
Q: What was your job before you started fighting?
ANSWER:
Many different jobs. Coaching and night club security are the main ones though.

Q: Tell us about your life outside of fighting:
ANSWER:
Fighting is my life. In between training I enjoy spending time in the forest away from all the noise of the city. Deep in nature as I should be.
